I had spent the better part of a decade traveling around with fellow musicians, family and friends for the purpose of ministering to hurting people through music. We went from church to church and island to island, some being third world just singing and praying with people. Nearly all of the time I had spent doing music ministry was in warm climates and during the cold and windy Delaware winters. When the next winter rolled around and everyone went back to the islands, I sat in my warm house with my guitar looking out at the cold day and was inspired to write this song. It was a hard decision that I had to make when I stepped away from this ministry and went out on my own as a solo artist but I am happy that I followed my heart. Movin' On was written out of this experience and this is the song that motivated me to write a few more songs and record my debut EP titled Back Home. You can enjoy the official video for this song that my sister DiAnna and I made together on Youtube.
